I want the pool table back. How could the Admiral take the only thing around here that's even vaguely interesting? What are we supposed to do now, play cards?

[Private - Dean]
Fix this. [It's serious business. :I]

[A delayed response because... Barron tends to ignore Admiral announcements?]
sharpememory: (Looking down)
This wouldn't be happening if you all wore gloves. [And Barron holds up his leather-gloved hands. Annoyingly, he actually looks to be in good health.]

I mean, come on, people. This is why personal hygiene and not being naked are a thing, you know?

[Where Barron comes from, gloves are just as critical as pants. Why are none of you wearing pants. :I]

[Private - Cassel]

Stay in your cabin, seriously. This shit always gets nasty fast. [Barron kind of thinks that you can't handle this. Sorry, Cassel.] And don't turn into anything with tentacles, people may think that you're a crazy doctor guy.
sharpememory: (Sounds good)
[Barron's sitting on his bed, journal pointed up at his face. Behind him, you can just catch sight of a huge collection of post-it notes taped up to the wall, along with highlighted pieces of paper and pages ripped out of various books, as well as what looks suspiciously like a drawing of Prefect's face. That suspicion is probably confirmed, considering you can just see the edge of a post-it reading "...ect" with an arrow pointing down to the picture.]

I gotta question for everyone. Why isn't this a sober barge? Why give guys in jail drinks? It doesn't work like that where I come from.

Not to mention, what's the best place to work in this dump? I want a job. Not like cleaning or anything, I want an awesome job. Like a space mechanic. I could do that, I went to law school.

[Barron sounds like death warmed up. This was intended to be private to Prefect, but due to the flood's affects he couldn't be bothered with it.]

You know what's amazing, comrade? When you reckon that the human body would have a limit to how much vomit it can chuck up. Pro tip? There isn't one. I must have hurled at least a dozen times today.

[A pause, because that lie is not helping Barron feel better right now.]

I think I'm gonna keep drinking until it goes away.
sharpememory: (Sounds good)
[Dated early in the flood, before Ivy shenanigans.]

Prefect. Come on a boat ride with me. [Barron sounds very, very drunk.] I have a boat and everything.
sharpememory: (Default)
Come on. Let's meet and find some shops. You need more suits in your life.
sharpememory: (Maybe)
All this creepy stuff is pretty obviously a mix of dream and emotion working. It's been known to make people think stuff. To see stuff that isn't there. I don't know if this is a flood or what, but we need to work from the head outwards. Make some amulets or something. Unless someone wants to go up and have a chat with the Admiral, and tell him to cut it out.

[Warden Filter]

Of course, you guys could give me my power back and I could do some investigating myself.

[Private - Loki]

You gonna try and fix this, then?

[Private - Prefect]

I am not talking about anything that happened in that last flood. It wasn't cool of you to ask me questions during it either.
sharpememory: (Not amused)
I'm not talking to you or coming out of my room until this is over. [Pause.] It isn't fair.

[AND ALREADY, HE HAS SAID TOO MUCH. :c]
sharpememory: (Could be)
Really, Admiral? Again? If we're betting on what's going to happen to us, I say that we're all going to end up mind linked to someone else. Psychically. [Barron sounds a little bit drunk. Because he is.] Although I'm open to being convinced of other theories.

Also, to whoever painted that ugly mural on the level seven stairwell? You really should clean that thing up or else the cleaning crew might have to. That or a warden with an inmate whose been a bit difficult lately could give them a special job. I'm just saying.

Private - Prefect

I'm just helping the other wardens out with the mural thing. You don't need to say it was us or else they'll take it down right away. And wouldn't that be the worst?

[OOC: The mural Barron and Prefect painted is described in the log. It takes up most of the wall and goes down onto the stairs a bit. It was painted with enthusiasm more than skill.]
sharpememory: (Talk)
[Public]

Look, I'm not sure what happened with that whole 'memory changing' business, but I'm inclined to say flood. It's not my fault if it happened to focus in on me.

[Private - Prefect]

Hey, warden. We need to meet up. Maybe for a drink?

And seriously, can I have my shoes back? This is getting ridiculous.

[Private - Edward Nygma]

We need to talk. [Not sounding friendly in the slightest.]
sharpememory: (Not amused)
It's normally not my thing to tell people when they're making a mistake. Especially not cops and competition. [Takes a breath.]

There's a whole bunch of people coming on board. People don't come from nowhere. It's pretty clear that we've landed at a port and our friend the Admiral is yet to announce it.

So why aren't any of you taking advantage? Especially the new people? Don't you guys want out before we move on? Doesn't anyone want to tell the cops about this hellhole?

[Dramatic sigh.] Some of us aren't satisfied sitting around and waiting for a rescue.
