It's self-Inflicted, or consensual enough to look self-inflicted. Recent, within the time frame of one to two years. And it concerns an identity separate from your ability. With what it is, and the way you're presenting it, I'm guessing that scar is a membership card of sorts, to an illegal organization.
But what you can do, I'm afraid I don't know.
