sharpememory: (Talking)
Warden, meet me on deck. [Sounding extremely mild, almost like someone who's trying too hard to stay calm.]

[What's your name, Prefect. Where is Barron's room. Barron's memory isn't in great shape post flood. Other peeps, feel free to call him out on it if your bro knows about his power, open to spam ect. c:]
sharpememory: (Talking)
[Here's Barron, looking... basically exactly like himself, except in a rather smart suit with his hair slicked back.]

Mysterio, master of memory, welcomes you to Gotham. [Barron smiles, showing way too many teeth.] I will take away your troubles. I will grant you more years with your young ones. I will draw the pain that has seared itself deep within you from you, in a way that will be so painless that you will forever wonder what had troubled you so.

[He pauses, dramatically.] You need merely to ask. Mysterio rather likes visitors. My price is secrets, impossible things and a little of your past. [A beat, then deadpan.] And cash.

[Barron's a supervillian with his normal power, which is basically to change/add/remove memories. He's basically just your normal working supervillian (including the lapsing into third person) who hasn't quite made it into the big leagues and occasionally gets punched in the face by Batman.]
sharpememory: (Sounds good)
[Barron: hit by the honesty bomb. He's sitting on his bed, writing in his diary journal.]

So, guys. I basically disappeared off the barge. [He pauses to scribble something out in the journal.] Which isn't that abnormal, but it was weird. I spent a while at home not remembering being here at all. My brother turned out to be a total asshole who was willing to turn us over to the Feds, so he got taken out by my other brother. Who then got all into my business and made the hot high school girl I was really into break up with me.

[Barron sighs, making a face.] It's not like I'm that much older than her, but whatever. It's a little ridiculous. I mean, even my Mom is getting together with a guy. Who's totally the head of a mob family, but what are you gonna do? [Barron shrugs.] It's not like the connections would do us any harm.

[He stops scribbling in his journal.] Then I was back here, remembering being here from before and the new stuff that I'd done at home. I guess I asked the Admiral if I could go home the right amount of times or something. [A pause.] It was better than being here, even with all the drama going down.
sharpememory: (Hmm)
I just thought that I should mention that I'm straight. Just so everyone knows.

[Private - Prefect]

I guess we should talk about Philip. It's a pity that he didn't get the memo on filters.

[Private - Dean]

You should play pool with me. Also, we should invite Wanda and Arkady. If you haven't met them yet, you should.

[Private - Wanda and Arkady]

Do you guys want to play pool with me and Dean? There'd potentially be beer involved.
sharpememory: (Philip unamused)
[Philip leans in close to the camera. At the very bottom of the screen, you can see the horrible, ropey scar that runs along the bottom of his neck.]

I want to talk to whoever is in charge here. Fed, magic wizard sea captain, whatever. We're gonna make a deal, because if we don't, things are going to get a bit unpleasant for everyone else around here.
sharpememory: (Hmmmm)
[Private - David]

If you're still up for what we talked about, I've got a suggestion for a plan. I think you might like it.
sharpememory: (Maybe)
[Inmate Filer]
I'm looking forward to the day when someone works out how to steer the barge and just takes everyone home. It's a much more solid plan than just blowing everything up.

[Warden Filter, minus Prefect]
I'm not sure how many of you guys are workers, but do any of you know anything about amnesia or memory loss? Outside of the kind of stuff that I do.

Also, Perry Dawsey really shouldn't be working in the kitchen. He doesn't have the people or hygiene skills needed to do it. [Some wardens may have seen Perry and Barron fighting (verbally) in the dining hall a week or so ago.]

[Private - Prefect]
I don't suppose that you've remembered anything yet?
sharpememory: (Not amused)
[Private to Prefect]

Where are you? Are you armed? Still alive?

[Private to Loki]

If you wanted to pick a time to bail, this is it.
sharpememory: (Default)
Come on. Let's meet and find some shops. You need more suits in your life.
sharpememory: (Maybe)
All this creepy stuff is pretty obviously a mix of dream and emotion working. It's been known to make people think stuff. To see stuff that isn't there. I don't know if this is a flood or what, but we need to work from the head outwards. Make some amulets or something. Unless someone wants to go up and have a chat with the Admiral, and tell him to cut it out.

[Warden Filter]

Of course, you guys could give me my power back and I could do some investigating myself.

[Private - Loki]

You gonna try and fix this, then?

[Private - Prefect]

I am not talking about anything that happened in that last flood. It wasn't cool of you to ask me questions during it either.
sharpememory: (Not amused)
I'm not talking to you or coming out of my room until this is over. [Pause.] It isn't fair.

[AND ALREADY, HE HAS SAID TOO MUCH. :c]
sharpememory: (Not amused)
Look, guys. This is mainly a respect thing, but could you not talk about trying to sleep with my warden? Seriously? I was going to bring it up on that old guy's post, but this seems to be a barge wide thing. Prefect doesn't want to get with you. Really. If you'd spoken to the guy or tried to get within two feet of him you'd know that. So stop it. It's a bit like trying to get together with my barge dad. It just makes things awkward for everyone.
sharpememory: (Talk)
[Filtered to the wardens (minus Prefect)]

Look, guys. I don't know how your system works. I'm not sure if that's deliberate or not. But I want you all to know, those things that I did because of that flood? There was no way Prefect could of done anything about that. The guy can't see the future. He doesn't have a little window into my brain. I just want to make clear that that was all firmly my bad and not his. I'd be seriously concerned if any of you guys were holding that against him or questing whether he should be here. He's doing the best job he can.

[Private - Loki]

Sorry about the whole lying thing, man. Inmate. It's what we do.

[Private - Prefect]

So, I started another new journal. Just FYI.

[Filtered to Beatty and O'Brien]

I imagine that if you two stay away from me and my warden we won't have any problems in future. We can all just be the best of friends. From a distance.
sharpememory: (Srs face/fake sad)
[Warden Filter]

[Barron sounds shaken.] Wardens. All of you. I want to know what "evidence" you think you have. Because there is no way that I would do that to two people. I didn't kill anyone. I couldn't do something like that.

[Filtered to Prefect, Olive, Loki, Eddie Nygma and Sarah Harding]

You guys. Out of all of them, you have to know that I wouldn't have done something like this. And I- [He stops. And sounds even more miserable when he continues.] I'm not going to lie to you, I confronted O'Brien about Prefect. But that was it. I spoke to him and left, hours ago. I don't know why he did what he did or whether he's trying to frame me, but you all have to believe me that I didn't have anything to do with it. I probably shouldn't have spoken to him at all, but I just couldn't have known that he would react this way. I never wanted this to happen.

[OOC: Barron's replies will either be before or after he's admitted what happened to Prefect. Feel free to specify if it's before or after in your subject line. c:]
sharpememory: (Wait what)
Prefect's hurt. Dying maybe. There for days. Level three, room fourteen to sixteen. Don't know which. Send doctors.

[OOC: There may be some in universe late replies, once Prefect has gone to the infirmary and Barron can reply properly. c:]
sharpememory: (Maybe)
Well, that was enlightening. Being a cat was kind of enjoyable, to be honest. I've had worse weekends in my life.

Quick question, barge at large. How many of you aren't actually really old? As in, under twenty five? It seems like the vast majority of people are outside of that age group, but I'm curious. And also disappointed by the lack of learning opportunities around. Most prisons normally have some type of educational program to get qualifications, which isn't really relevant to us, but it does have the potential to give some of us something to do.

[Private - Prefect]

Hey. Are we going to meet up? I haven't seen you in a while. [Guess what, Prefect. It's a Tuesday.]
sharpememory: (Could be)
Really, Admiral? Again? If we're betting on what's going to happen to us, I say that we're all going to end up mind linked to someone else. Psychically. [Barron sounds a little bit drunk. Because he is.] Although I'm open to being convinced of other theories.

Also, to whoever painted that ugly mural on the level seven stairwell? You really should clean that thing up or else the cleaning crew might have to. That or a warden with an inmate whose been a bit difficult lately could give them a special job. I'm just saying.

Private - Prefect

I'm just helping the other wardens out with the mural thing. You don't need to say it was us or else they'll take it down right away. And wouldn't that be the worst?

[OOC: The mural Barron and Prefect painted is described in the log. It takes up most of the wall and goes down onto the stairs a bit. It was painted with enthusiasm more than skill.]
sharpememory: (Maybe)
Well, that was a depressing flood. I'm not going to say what happened to me, but it was pretty much the worse. Considering how down everyone seems to be, I think that the wardens should open up the pub to everyone tonight. Just for one night. It really, really looks like the inmates need to blow of some steam. And there's no healthier way to do that than to get completely smashed.

[Private - Prefect]

You're not going to believe what happened to me in the flood. It was amazing.
sharpememory: (That sounds interesting)
So, Prefect finally got me my powers back. It's been pretty great. I totally convinced some girl in the dining hall line that she needed to give me the last muffin because of some childhood trauma. You know, the usual. [Barron laughs.] Amazing stuff. Of course, that counts as using my powers responsibly, right? Because getting that muffin was pretty serious business.

[Inmate Filter]

So, yeah. That's where I'm at. It's amazing. I'm going to go and see if I can get some of you guys to fight with each other. I'll want a bit of a show, if you've all got any recommendations. Otherwise I'll be in the second floor common room, if anyone wants a game of pool.

[Private - Prefect]

Not really, not really. Go get a drink or something, old man. I've got a plan going. Just make sure you keep your journal around. I expect material rewards if I get some names. We're talking gloves. Lots of gloves.

[OOC: Barron is so full of lies. He doesn't have his power back. He's trying to goad people into attacking him so he can work out where some weapons are. And make Prefect feel bad if he ends up dying.]
