Good. Alright, so I was thinking. Our main concern is not how to kill Dawsey, because if you can do what you say you can it's not an issue. So we need to think about how to get away with it.

I think the easiest way would be to get access to the CES. Steal someone's warden item, whatever. Wait until Dawsey goes in there of his own vocation, then you go in. You transform into something that matches the setting and bam, Dawsey is a victim of a random CES animal attack. We get to see Dawsey dead and no one's any the wiser, including Dawsey himself. Just about as perfect a murder as you could plan on the barge.

I can get us into the CES, I've done it before. The only thing is, we'd need to find a way to get Dawsey in there by himself. He goes in with his warden, then I'm gonna have to take 'em both out, and we don't want the heat from killing a warden, you know? No one's gonna read too deep into it if it's just Dawsey, that guy's pissed everybody off. So we just need a way to keep his warden out of things.

Yeah, that's the main problem. I can't see any way to convince Dawsey to get in there on his own without tipping him off that something is wrong. At the same time, you're right about the warden thing and unwanted consequences.

There might be a way to separate Dawsey and his warden once they're in the CES. Even if it's you attacking and the warden being smart enough to back off. But again, that's all on you and whether you want to take the risk of injuring a warden.

I can take them both if I have to. The warden's just an ordinary human too, right? Two-on-one's no problem. But maybe we can set it up where we won't have to. I could take him out, but then there'd be two witnesses, and it'd be a lot harder to shut a warden up.

Hm... Dawsey uses the gym, right? If maybe the exercise machines or whatever he uses are broke, he'll come to the CES alone to do his thing. Then I can take him and we wouldn't have to take any heat about a warden getting killed.

Yeah, that's right. And the last thing we need is a warden pointing fingers in your direction.

Hypothetically, the machines shouldn't be too hard to take out of commission. I might have a look around and see how well supervised the gym is. If they don't lock up at night, it should be easy.

They shouldn't. Claire's in charge of the gym, and she's pretty laid-back, I've never heard of her even locking her own room, much less the gym.

So we'll play it that way. Wreck the machines, that way Dawsey's got no choice to come to the CES. The rest will be simple.

Sounds good. Even if for some reason he comes with his warden, that's a pretty clear worst case scenario.

Yeah, that mistletoe is pretty irritating. I'll check out the gym. You should try to find out some information about his warden. I'd do it myself, but the moment I start being on Dawsey's radar is the moment when he realizes that something is going on.

I'll do it. His warden doesn't know me, and I've seen him around in the library. Shouldn't be too hard to find out his deal as long as that creepy gnome doesn't show up. I'll find out what's going on with him and get back in more info when I've got it.
